ALLEN, Sarah Foster

Waynetown - Sarah Foster Allen, 56, died at 10 a.m. Friday at her residence at 1603 E. Michigan Street, Indianapolis. Mrs. Allen had been in declining health for 8 years and had been in serious condition 4 years. Death was the result of a cardiac failure. Born April 17, 1901 in Armstrong, IL, she was the daughter of Buell and Mattie Foster. She was married Dec 27, 1920 to Frank Fine Allen in Indianapolis. A member of the Otterbeing Methodist Church and Eastern Star at Wallace, Mrs. Allen attended Indiana University and taught at the Yountsville School several years. After her marriage she moved to Indianapolis and had been employed at Allison's 10 years. Surviving in addition to her husband, are two sons, Gordon of Brownsburg and Donald of Monticello; four grandchildren, her mother of Cortez, Colorado; and a brother Woodford Foster of LaPorte and one nephew. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Servies Funeral Home here with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating. Burial in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at funeral home after 4 p.m. Saturday.
